The Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill full time - seasonal, Turf Care – Green’s Crew positions at the Wintergreen Golf & Country Club, Bragg Creek, Alberta. Wintergreen Golf & Country Club operates throughout the summer season (May to mid October) as an 18 hole, semi private golf facility, nestled in the Foothills of the Rockies. The golf course serves 150 members and their families, daily fee players and corporate tournaments. Reporting to the Head Superintendent, the ideal candidates will be excellent communicators and team players, physically fit with the ability to work outdoors and perform daily routine course maintenance procedures. We focus on building and maintaining long lasting relationships with our staff and guests and encourage you to come “Experience the Ultimate” and be a part of our Wintergreen Turf Care team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for the largest private owner/operator of ski resorts in North America, proudly operating the Fernie Alpine Resort, Kimberly Alpine Resort and Nakiska. Winter employment opportunities are available for those interested.


Some of the responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

• Hand or machine mowing greens. Mowing tee’s, aprons, & collars. Rough mowing
• Raking bunkers, divot repair, sodding and plugging
• Bunker maintenance including: trimming, filling of sand, and edging
• Maintaining ball washers, garbage’s & washrooms
• Operating push mowers and hand trimmers
• Cart path maintenance
• Equipment washing/maintenance
• Course cleanup: General handwork including: raking, shoveling, sweeping, blowing, etc
• Completion of required department specific training, including procedures, equipment operation and Occupational Health and Safety is mandatory.
• Knowledge of golf course layout to ensure duties can be carried out safely and without disruption to players.
• Wearing of required safety equipment and clothing as required for specific tasks or weather conditions

Qualifications:

• Golf course experience an asset
• Willingness to learn new things
• Attention to detail and an excellent work ethic
• Must possess a valid Canadian Work Permit
