The Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the full time, seasonal position of a Ski Patroller at the Nakiska Ski Resort. Reporting to the Ski Patrol Director, the ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and team player. We focus on building and maintaining long lasting relationships with our staff and guests and encourage you to come ˇ§Experience the Ultimateˇ¨ and be a part of our Nakiska Operations Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for the largest private owner/operator of ski resorts in North America, proudly operating Fernie Alpine Resort and Kimberley Alpine Resort.

Some of the responsibilities for the position include, but not limited to:

„« By performing regular run checks, patrollers must monitor the safety of the hill identifying and monitoring safety hazards, marginal conditions, fencing, run signs etc
„« Setting fences
„« Assisting with race course setting and monitoring
„« Following communication protocols
„« To respond to accidents on the mountain, providing emergency first aid
„« Transport patients and skiers/snowboarders who are unable to transport themselves
„« Manage crowd control
„« To accurately complete all required paper work
„« Participate in avalanche control under the direction of the Director of Snow Safety
„« To monitor the conduct of staff and guests on the resort, enforcing the Alpine Responsibility Code
„« To assist with incidents involving intoxicated skiers/riders
„« Able to operate snowmobile

Qualifications:

„« Must have minimum 80 hour First Aid training certification
„« Must have current CPR certification
„« Expert level skiers only
„« Avalanche Certification is preferred although not required

RCR offers industry competitive compensation and benefits in a great working environment. Compensation ranges from $12.50 to $15.50 based on experience.
