Ski Instructor - Level 1

The Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is looking to fill the full time, seasonal position of a SKI INSTRUCTOR - Level 1 at Nakiska Ski Resort. Reporting to the Winter Sports School Manager, the ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and team player. We focus on building and maintaining long lasting relationships with our staff and guests and encourage you to come ˇ§Experience the Ultimateˇ¨ and be a part of our Nakiska Winter Sports School Team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work for the largest private owner/operator of ski resorts in North America, proudly operating Fernie Alpine Resort and Kimberley Alpine Resort.

Overview
Winter Sports Instructors spend the most concentrated time with our guests. It is the responsibility of instructors to instill a love of the sport in our guests. Instructors must have exceptional people skills with a well-developed ability to teach, in addition to advanced ski or snowboard skills. Creating an encouraging and supportive environment for learners is essential to this position.

Some of the responsibilities for the position include, but are not limited to:

„« Teaching Ski Classes as assigned according to skill/ certification level
„« Assisting other Instructors as needed
„« Participating in the creation of school group itineraries and lesson plans
„« Maintain and improve current Ski skills
„« Constantly be developing people/ teaching skills
„« General on-hill maintenance as required
„« General cleaning as required
