I am so fortunate to work for a company that is full of passionate, mountain loving, adventure seeking and fun staff!! It is hard to highlight one but i am going to try and share some highlights about those who work at Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) and or at one of our resorts of Fernie Alpine Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort, and or Nakiska Ski Area. Mark Kowalchuk is our talented graphic designer. Not only is Mark a fantastic artist but he is top notch snowboarder and skateboarder! He rides every chance he gets! First Snow Hits Fernie Hard! Get ready to ski

Installation of a new safety system across the Ridge from Polar Peak has been completed! What does this mean? The safety of our staff and guest is number 1 priority for us. This line will provide our Snow Safety Team with the ability to get into key terrain for control work on a more regular basis, so as to ensure that our guests will be able to enjoy more of our great terrain on those Heavy Snowfall days sooner!!

Make sure you don't miss this event in Kimberley,BC on Oct 10th 2008 at Mckim Theatre at 6pm. Tickets available in KImberley at Black Bear Books and Gerricks in Cranbrook,BC. A Great Day in the Office!

Nakiska hosts the world in early November!! With over 5000 athletes will be here training and honing their skills to prepare for the upcoming World Cup season!! We salute the hardworking athletes of Alpine Canada and wish them the best this season!! Make sure to cheer on all of them but extra loud for hometown favorites of Emily Brydon from Fernie, BC and Jan Hudec whose home ski area is Nakiska!!

Go Jan!! Jan, Powder Matt and Maureen enjoy a night of celebration! We hope to share more wins with this very talented, hardworking and all around great guy!

Exciting news for those who like to Haul! The team in Fernie Alpine Resort have installed a new haul rope on the Deer Chair and Elk Chair. What this means 'we hope' is the end of the dreaded 'Brown Drips'. As we have installed a state of the art 'Galvanized' fur friendly Haul Rope.

Everytime I take a tour the view in Kimberley changes for the better! I am very impressed with the level of qaulity of the new developments at the resort. With the new Delta Air service starting on December 17th from Salt Lake maybe it is time you found your new ski address in Kimberley. I gotta think that only 14 minutes from the airport has to be the quickest skiing and golf access out there! As I am not an expert on real estate but do think that Kimberley is a pretty special place with just about everything you could want to do out your door! From blue ribbon trout streams, incredible hiking in either the Purcells or the Canadian Rockies, golf (over 20 plus golf courses in the region), 5 National Parks within easy drive, mountain biking galore and a wonderful community full of people who share the same love for the outdoors! Check it out!

still managed to get a few days out on the Bow before the snow flies! The squirrells, muskrats and other members of the rodent family seem to be real busy this Fall-- old timers say that is good news for us ski bums!
