Skiing has begun for some already at Fernie Alpine Resort! Dylan makes the first tracks after hiking up to the top of the White Pass lift. Proposed opening date for Fernie Alpine Resort is December 6th. It is hard to contain our entusiasm as many await the Griz's powderful storms to roll in! Hail to the Griz as we look forward to a winter of fun in Fernie, BC, Canada

Less than 26 Days to go and Ski Fernie! Get your Season Pass pictures now

Monday, 10 November 2008 15:31 by matt

Mother nature tallied her own election week results! She moved moisture into the region and Fernie picked up snow in the high country with a couple of good storms! Colder temperatures also moved in and looks like more moisture is on its way this week.

Powder Matt checks out the early season snowfall in the Rockies!

Kimberley gets more SNOW! Nov 5th

Thursday, 6 November 2008 13:42 by matt

the white stuff is creeping down the mountain! it is great to see the snow! I had this e-mail from a GFeehan who noted the following

" Kimberley snowfall stats ending March 31st 2008 were 580cm and you should have included this in your Blog. While this is only about half what Fernie received it is still respectable and, actually, Kimberley 'outsnowed' Sunshine last season! Our family has been skiing Kimberley since the 90's. We love it there"

I could not have said it better myself. Mr. Feehan, thank you for your input.
