The snow forecast is very positive for more of the white stuff all week and possibly a classic Griz special on Saturday! Cedar Bowl offers a great fall-line and a long cruiser on aptly named run 'Cruiser'
Enjoy the Holiday season and get out there and make turns with friends and family!

It is warmer in the mountains and snow has been falling! More snow is on the way according to weather service. We will open more lifts tommorrow with Boom Chair and Haul Back lift opening. This is a good recipe to make you want to ski! All Chair Lifts now open at Fernie Alpine Resort and more snow on the way !!
A great view can be had from Lost Boys cafe. Lost Boys is a nice place to have hot chocolate or a Kokanee!

Ski season has begun and the timing of the flights for skiers to arrive could not be better! With fresh snow on the runway the Delta Airlines, inaugural direct flight from Salt Lake City, Utah arrived on-time. Many skiers and riders were greeted to cheers from the crowd of locals who attended this historic event. It is now faster than ever for the US ski market to access the world class skiing and riding offered at Fernie Alpine Resort and Kimberley Alpine Resort. Not only are there great airfares available for those guests coming from the US but also incredible seat sale airfares are available for local who would like to access the World through Delta Airlines network. You can check out airfares by calling 1-800-258-7669 or visiting http://www.skifernie.com

A great ridge of gullies and chutes await in Currie Bowl for the advanced skiers and riders at Fernie Alpine Resort off a traverse to a ridge line below Polar Peak. This week our Snow Safety team are checking snow depths and doing control work along that ridge and below you can see a member of the team dropping in on a chute/run called Corner Pocket
