British Columbia has lots of great mountain bike riding! There is a great offering of cross country riding but it excels at Downhill Mountain Biking! As Fernie, British Columbia started out as one of the earliest destinations for great cross country riding and now has morphed into a mecca for both Downhill Riding at Fernie Alpine Resort and an incredible offering of cross country trail riding. There are many great destinations for a mountain bike trip in Canada but few combine the best of both worlds!

We have also been working hard on adding more beginner and intermediate Downhill Mountain Biking-

making it easier to conect and find Honey Bee or Eville without a huge lap

it is sad to see the crew go....we had a great time and enjoyed all of our time with the Movie Co. Such great people! Many of our staff also enjoyed being extras in the movie as well. We had great shooting weather and temperatures as Fernie Alpine Resort was turned back not only in time but to mid-winter!! Hundreds of truck-loads of snow were brought down from the mountain to make the Plaza at Fernie Alpine Resort white! 

Movie Director Steve Pink and his team did a brilliant job shooting the film. Steve noted this about Fernie Alpine Resort "I'm certainly going to make it a ski destination in the future. I would happily make another movie here. Fernie is the best kept secret in North America!"

Steve Pink is working his magic at Fernie Alpine Resort. Pink, who co-wrote Cusack's Grosse Pointe Blank and High Fidelity, will direct Cusack's latest movie Hot Tub Time Machine. Hot Tub Time Machine is being shot at Fernie Alpine Resort. Fernie Alpine Resort, one of BC's Best Ski Resorts is the site where Cusack and his buddies partied as teens. This comedy has the group of frustrated friends transported back to their hey-day of youth. The vehicle of time transport is a hot tub located at Fernie Alpine Resort....Other stars in the Movie Craig Robinson (best known as Darryl in The Office), Clark Duke (best known as Dale in TV series Greek), and Rob Corddry (best known for his comedy slot on the Daily Snow with Jon Stewart)

Fernie Alpine Resort will be the scene of John Cusack and his middle-aged friends on a ski vacation when they are transported back in time to a ski trip they took when they were in their twenties. Their mystical time machine is a Hot Tub.

The Movie Co has been doing lots of work getting the location ready for the movie Hot Tub Time Machine.
