Ridge Line Project- an engineering marvel with focus on safety completed by Fernie Alpine Resort team

Monday, 6 October 2008 15:00 by matt

Installation of a new safety system across the Ridge from Polar Peak has been completed! What does this mean? The safety of our staff and guest is number 1 priority for us. This line will provide our Snow Safety Team with the ability to get into key terrain for control work on a more regular basis, so as to ensure that our guests will be able to enjoy more of our great terrain on those Heavy Snowfall days sooner!!

HI Ron
the mountain team has completed the Polar Peak Safety Line, allowing staff to safely access the peak and ridge above the ski area to conduct avalanche control work. In addition to this project we are also building a tram system in Knot Chutes.
Think SNOW!
