Below is a wonderful note from Caleb Brown about his results at the Revelstoke Free Skiing Competition- Caleb great job and thank you for the update and kind note!
Just got back from the Revelstoke World Tour event and I learned a lot and skied really well.
For the qualifier I came 19th out of 72 male competitors. Day 1 I had a pretty solid line chosen and couldn't wait to ski it. I pretty much nailed it but made the slightest mistake on the last air of the venue which screwed up my control and technique points.
At the end of the run I thought to myself, know matter how I did I would be happy because of how I skied but then when the results came in I was disappointed; I missed the cut for the Finals by 0.3 of a point placing 22 out of 52 male competitors, and only 7 points behind the leader Chopo Diaz.
Most people were stoked at how well I had done, being my first ever senior comp, but I know I can do better, and the next time my goal is to make it to the finals.
Tomorrow I am off to Rossland for the Junior Competition, where I plan to kill it.
I just want to Thank you all for everything you have done for me, and I am super stoked to be riding under your name.
Regards,
Caleb Brown
