Calgary, AB – April 15, 2008–To the delight of skiers and riders everywhere, Lake Louise Mountain Resort received another 21cm (8 inches) of new snow in the past 24 hours. The mountaintop settled snowpack has now reached 200cm (79 inches). Lake Louise Mountain Resort is wide open until April 27th. FERNIE ALPINE RESORT HOSTS POWDER, PEDAL, PADDLE RELAY RACE
Calgary, AB – April 1, 2008– Fernie Alpine Resort will host its annual Powder, Pedal, Paddle Relay Race on Saturday, April 5th. An annual favourite, the “PPP” has been going strong since 1984. The race is a fun, yet competitive relay, where teams of 1-5 people ski, bike, paddle and run their way down the mountain, to town, and back to the ski resort plaza. [more...]

FERNIE ALPINE RESORT SNOW SURPASSES 11 METRE MARK (OVER 36 FEET)
Calgary, AB – April 1, 2008– Fernie Alpine Resort has now received 1107cm (Over 36 feet) of snow to date this season. With 13cm (5 inches) in the past 24 hours, 20cm (8 inches) in the past 48 hours, and 50cm (20 inches) in the past week, Fernie is continuing to have a Legendary season, and holds the lead for most snowfall of any major ski resort in Canada. The mountain snowpack is currently 379cm (149 inches).
