KIMBERLEY ALPINE RESORT TO OFFER FREE SKIING AND RIDING TO LOCALS AT ANNUAL COMMUNITY APPRECIATION D
Kimberley, BC – December 6, 2007 – On Sunday, December 16, 2007, Kimberley Alpine Resort will once again say ‘Thank You’ to local communities by offering a FREE day of skiing and riding to the residents of Kimberley, Cranbrook, Marysville and Wasa, as part of the annual Community Appreciation Day.
Kimberley Alpine Resort’s Community Appreciation Day aims to recognize local residents for their support of the Resort, as well as celebrate the start of another ski season.
“We all enthusiastically look forward to a new season of skiing and riding at Kimberley Alpine Resort,” says Matt Mosteller, Senior Director of Business Development. “The support of the local community is so important to us, so we love offering this day as a way of saying thank you to local residents, while welcoming the start of another great season with friends and neighbours.”
Complimentary Discover Skiing and Riding Lesson - Kimberley Alpine Resort is inviting local residents who are new to the sports of skiing and snowboarding to enjoy a complimentary “Discover” ski or snowboard lesson on December 16th as part of the Community Day festivities. The Kimberley Alpine Resort Winter Sports School will have twelve ski and twelve snowboard spots available, with lessons taking place between 10:00am–12:00pm. Advanced registration is required. Participants should note that this lesson is for beginners only, and space will be limited. Charity BBQ - The Resort will also be hosting a Charity BBQ on December 16th, with support from Cardinal Meats and Nathan’s World Famous Hot Dogs. Local guests can treat themselves to a $2.00 RCR Prime Rib Burger or a Nathan’s World Famous Hot Dog, with all proceeds going to the Kimberley North Star Racers.
Complimentary Lift Tickets - To secure your complimentary lift pass on December 16th, please be prepared to present to Guest Services a driver’s license or pay stub and valid identification.
Kimberley Alpine Resort will open for the 2007/08 winter season on Saturday, December 15th.
