LAKE LOUISE - Banff National Park, Alberta

Located in Spectacular Banff National Park Lake Louise, Alberta

  • History to Luxury: Spend two nights in the backcountry at historic Skoki Lodge, established in 1930. Then, spend two nights in another landmark, the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, while enjoying the 139 runs of Lake Louise Mountain Resort.
  • School of Steeps: The Lake Louise Ski School offers programs to help advanced skiers better navigate tough terrain. The “Ultimate Steeps” Clinic teaches skiers how to master steep off piste terrain, basic airs, choosing a line and identifying hazards. Finish the day relaxing in the video lounge and reviewing your progress captured in the clinic.
  • The In-bounds Backcountry Experience: The in-bounds “Powder Bowls” offer thousands of acres of open bowl skiing, giving skiers and riders the chance to test their limits and enjoy light champagne powder. And about that powder - which, in addition to the generous snowfall that Lake Louise receives each season, often gets blown into the Powder Bowls from surrounding peaks, thanks to west winds that pushes snow into the area during the long November to May ski season, much to the delight of Lake Louise’s skiers and riders!
  • Skoki Lodge: Looking to get even further off the beaten track? Head to Skoki Lodge, located in the backcountry 11 kilometres from Lake Louise Mountain Resort. Originally built in 1930-1, the lodge today still retains the same character and provides the same experience as backcountry skiers decades ago. Access to the lodge is via an 11 kilometre-lnog ski trail. Meals are included with your stay (along with feather down duvets), but the quiet of the backcountry is heightened with no electricity or indoor plumbing. A visit to Skoki is undeniably an unforgettable experience deep in Banff National Park.  www.skokilodge.com
  • World Cup Action: Lake Louise Mountain Resort is proud host of the Winterstart Men’s and Ladies’ World Cup Downhill and Super-G Races. With world-class early season conditions, Lake Louise has become a favorite destination for these events.  Join us as we welcome the world!
  • Summer at Lake Louise: Spectacular in every season, the summer sightseeing gondola at Lake Louise is a summer adventure not to be missed. Enjoy magnificent views as you are whisked to 6,750 feet / 2,057m on your choice of open chair, bubble chair, or fully-enclosed gondola car. At the top of your ride, join one of the interpretive guides for a nature talk, or explore a mountain trail on a guided walk.
